Since the initial release of novaAudit in 2007, the professional expertise from numerous use cases has been incorporated into its continuous further development. We have developed the latest version of novaAudit in close collaboration with our customers and cooperation partners in internal auditing, Bertelsmann, RTL, Swisscom and the DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence), and on the basis of their best practice processes.
In addition, novaAudit PowerCloud Edition implements the entire audit process taking into account the specifications and guidelines of the best practice approach of the German Institute of Internal Auditing (DIIR).

novaAudit has been around since 2007, back then on Microsoft SharePoint. Over several iterations, novaAudit was further developed professionally and technically as a SharePoint version until 2022. In 2022, we decided to launch a joint project with our project partners Bertelsmann, RTL Group, Swisscom and DFKI. The aim of the project was to develop a completely new but highly specialized auditing solution based on the Microsoft Power Platform.
novaAudit PowerCloud Edition has been in productive use with our cooperation partners since April 2023. The technical concept was based on our existing novaAudit product, completely revised by our partners' auditing experts, adapted to new requirements and technically implemented by novaCapta.
Since its creation in 2007, novaAudit has undergone constant further development, so it never stays at the status quo. For example, our data and AI expert team is currently working on the possibilities of AI in novaAudit.
The further development of the Power Platform (the technical basis of novaAudit) by Microsoft also makes it possible to continuously optimize novaAudit. In particular, the integration of Microsoft 365 Copilot and other AI applications.
